REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC)

Logo - RPACElected officials in Mississippi depend on the Mississippi REALTOR® Political Action Committee to send them a clear, united message about your priorities. Your PAC is an essential part of our political system, working to elect officials who think like we do -- officials who know what it's like to run a small business and make payroll, and who are willing to speak up for you on issues that impact your business. MARPAC is how you keep candidates informed about Mississippi real estate issues.

Members like you give MARPAC its ability to:

  • stop proposed taxes on your commissions
  • fight to prevent unnecessary regulation
  • work against added fees on your customers and clients
  • promote programs that assist marginal buyers
  • limit your legal risk
  • protect private property rights
  • ... plus many more important services for you!

Fair Share Investors

We truly appreciate members who contribute their Fair Share to RPAC annually. REALTORS who are Principle Brokers contribute $99 as their Fair Share and non-principal REALTORS® contribute $25 annually.   34% of membership contributed to RPAC in 2011 and our goal is to increase that to 50% in 2012.  Fair Share contributors receive special recognition stickers to wear during General Membership meetings and their names go in a drawing at each meeting for a special door prize.

Major Investors

JAR recognition begins with the completion of a PLEDGE of $1000 or more; however the money can be paid in any increments between November 1 and September 30.

  • Special Reserved Table and recognition at the four JAR General Membership Meetings
  • Photo on JAR website on the Major Investors page
  • Invitation to MAR's Major Investor Reception in Spring each year
  • Invitation to JAR's Silver Signature Event in April of each year

National Recognition when full payment is received by NAR:

  • New pin every year denoting number of years as a Major Invester
  • Plaque for introductory year
  • Name on electronic banner at national meetings
  • Receive biannual RPAC Election Cycle Report
  • Recognition on Realtor.org
  • Annual basic recognition in state REALTOR® Magazines
  • Receive regular RPAC Major Investor Report
  • Notice to invester's Broker requesting office recognition
